IM Practice Manager
Version 1.7.2 Release Notes
(includes previously unreleased versions 1.6.7 - 1.7.1)
The following upgrades and improvements were
released:
- Phase
I of a scheduled report upgrade has been completed, which includes a
rebuild of reporting logic to increase accuracy of the reports
and prepare for the transition to SQL
2008 reporting services (further refinements in the calculation methods
for Average Length of Stay and Average Daily Census reports in
particular will continue in version 1.7.3).
- A Discharged Patients Report has been added in the "Other" section of the Business Intelligence Tab.
- The search functionality for the ICD favorites list has been improved (searching on multiple and partial terms, finding search terms
in any location within the description text, and sorting returns based
on relevance).
- Speed improvements have been made in the Procedure (CPT) search function.
- An automated password reset function for all users has been created.
- Email
collection for IM Practice Manager users has been added (in order to
support the automated password reset feature - user email addresses
will not be shared with any other company).
- Cross Cover notes are now automatically purged when a patient is moved to the Chart Rack / Archive.
- Multiple ADT interfaces can now be segregated within a single group database.
- In the Daily Encounter Log, the Site selection will no longer refresh when the bills are exported.
- The
current date and number of patients has been added to the Patient Team
Assignment Report, and the title of the "Room" column has been changed
to "Bed" in the report to standardize the terminology with the current
XCover labels.
- The criteria for showing "2 H&P" warning messages was revised.
- Administrators can now edit bills for Medical Directors.
- When a patient is
selected from the patient lookup list, and the selected patient does
not have a site, the system will automatically fill in the user's
default site.
- The Business Intelligence Tab will now be visible to users with "Biller" login types.
- The
logging of PHI viewing has been expanded to cover more areas of the
application, and enhanced to include more information about what was
viewed and/or changed.
- An administrator setting
has been added so groups have flexibility to decide whether or not
users should be able to add diagnoses to a bill without finding and
recording the actual ICD code.
- A demographics
face sheet can now be printed directly from the Demographics sub-tab
(of the Bills tab), or through the Daily Encounter Log ("Export Bills"
report).
- The calculation methods used to generate report data have been made available for each report in the Business Intelligence tab.
- A
"Y" button has been added to the New Patient and New Bill windows to
quick-pick yesterday's date (i.e. similar to the "T"/Today button).
- Teams
may now be deleted even if there are active patients assigned to the
Team at that time (that Team value will be blanked for active patients
on the Team, but will remain on archived patient records).
- Restoring
a patient from the Chart Rack will now automatically remove any Team
value on record for that patient at the time they were archived.
- The use of illegal characters has been disallowed during the creation of new users.
Changes to resolve the
following issues were also included:
- Additional options could not be added to the "Notes" and "Insurance" selection lists.
- Under some circumstances, bills entered within the first hour of a given day might be attributed to the previous day.
- Changes to a existing Team names were not properly applied to patient records in the Chart Rack.
- The
order of the diagnoses for the patient were not changing automatically
to reflect the linking order of that patient's most recent bill.
- Removing
patients to the Bin or the Archive (Chart Rack) resulted in a reset of
the patient filters (i.e. the selectors returned to "List All Sites" and "All
Current Patients" each time).
- The Site filter was reverting to the user's Default Site after deleting a patient on the Bills Tab.
- The
Date of Discharge for patients was being affected by the date the "D/C:
Y/N" radio button was toggled to "Y" on the Bills Tab, instead of
referencing the date of the actual discharge bill.
- The warning message indicating the visit type for a patient was being changed was not being controlled properly by the setting.
- Deleting
all information from the free-text fields in the X-Cover section of the
patient's record on the Bills tab was generating an error.
- Care Provider permission types were seeing the Cross Cover sheet in a very small window that could not be resized.
- Once
a date was entered into the DOA and DOB fields, those values couldn't
be changed by typing directly into the box (the calendar tool had to be
used).
- Selecting
the "Insurance 2" radio button on the Insurance sub-tab of the
Demographics Tab would move to the "Insurance 3" fields instead.
- The
message warning about the effects of changing a Site/Team name was
appearing when data other than the name was being changed for Sites
and/or Teams.
- The
Business Intelligence tab was sometimes showing for users even when the
"Hide Business Intelligence Tab From Physicians" setting was turned on.
- Invalid values in the User Lockout Period and the Max Invalid Login settings were preventing user logins.
- Billers weren't able to run the "My Bills" report for all users.
- "Chat received while you were offline" messages were not popping up when users logged on.
- The "Remove Read" function in the IM Messages window was not functioning properly.
- The New MD window sometimes appeared when the user scrolled down the MD suggestion list.
- The
"OK" and "Cancel" buttons on the Patient Lookup window could move off
the screen in some combinations of browser and screen resolution.
- The Daily Encounter Log sometimes scrolled back to the top of the page after an edit to a bill.
- The "Sort by Lastname" button could disappear if a Site were chosen on the Bills by Patient version of the Daily Encounter Log.
- The "Billed by:..." entry could overwrite existing Notes entries when an NP/PA/Nurse entered a bill for a physician.
- PQRI bills were appearing in the Summary Report pie charts.
